Pigments

Pigments are finely ground, insoluble color particles that are used to impart color to a vast array of materials by physically dispersing within them. Unlike dyes, which chemically bond or dissolve into their substrates, pigments remain as discrete solid particles, held in place by a binding medium or matrix.
